Matisse originates from the Pacific Northwest and has resided on the Big Island of Hawaii for over 8 years. She graduated from the Hawaiian Island School of Body Therapies and Wellness Center in 2002 with Recognition with 1250 hours. Matisse is also a second degree Reiki practioner in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition and in Upledger’s CranioSacral. Her strong personality comes through in her specific treatment work. Trained in medically based massage, Matisse specializes in trauma, chronic pain and sports injury. Combined with her gentle energy works, her massage has the power to create healing changes throughout the body. She is known in Kona for her strong hands and deep tissue massage treatments. Matisse also teaches at the Aloha Massage Academy and is currently working towards a degree in nursing, furthering her career in the healing arts.
